Promoguy's February 2024 Recap

It was a very strong month all around in February despite less days and the all star break. Let’s dig into what made it so good.

Twitter:

We finish the month up $1,306 bringing us to +$1,875 after two months in 2024. DraftKings led the way up $1,082 (shoutout to DraftKings) with FanDuel following at +$341 and Caesars finishing in the red at -$118. Tracking is done only for widely available promos and at the minimum max that anyone got for the promo. So FanDuel boosts were tracked at $20, DraftKings SGP insurance was tracked at $20, and most DK/ FD promos tracked at $5 or $10. 

Takeaways:

  1. SGP insurance went crazy - We finished up $171 on SGP insurance plays alone (even before accounting for the free bets). That is quite the return on $500 of non boosted plays (that are designed to fit within guidelines of the promo) before the free bets. We were able to hit multiple free bets making this promo the biggest reason for our strong month
  1. Free bets did very well - we made $665 on free bets in February between all of the promos and books (dk sgp insurance, Threesday, Fanduel no sweats)
  1. Fanduel boosts continue to roll - We finished up $120 on Fanduel boosts in February moving them to +$350 in 2024 so far

DISCORD: 

Same disclaimer as last month - these are tracked at 1u per play to keep it simpler and some people don't have all of these books or have limits on them. There are a lot more plays than this in the discord but I decided to start tracking some of the more major books promo/boost PnL for people who are curious. 

ESPN: +8.19u, ROI 16.38%

- ESPN had a lot of great promos and we did well on them. The Knicks losing streak was the main reason for an ROI pullback but ESPN has continued to crank the promos and will continue to do well in EV rankings. 

BetRivers: +32.93u, ROI 99.78%

- BetRivers had a monstrous month with nearly a 100% ROI! We ran into some really good variance on the parlay insurance promos. For those with the promos, you made over $800 on BetRivers at $25 per play. 

BetMGM: +16.27u, ROI 33.2%

- It turns out our 88% ROI in January was unsustainable but still a very strong month on MGM. Keep in mind, some of their promos are targeted (even amongst non promo banned people) so these unit numbers will usually be inflated. 

BET365: +$279, ROI 22.5% 

- ROIGUY does Bet365 and tracks it in dollars. Seems he had a solid month there.
